Fabienne was born in Paris (France) in 1968 from a family o artists. She came to California in 1996 with her husband and her two boys
“My parents were two designers, my brothers were an architect and a
painter. It may have been why I chose a completely different path
and became a molecular biologist. How I evolved from being a
scientist to become a sculptor is a long story.
I’ve always wanted to give something to people around me. The more I
move forward in my life, the more it becomes important to me to
share emotions with my friends or even with people I’ve only just
met. It took me ten years to understand I was not interested in
molecules but more in people themselves. I like to share feelings
with them, to express passionate sentiments as well as reflections about daily life.
That’s how I started my career as an artist.
Now, when sculpting, I let my hands and my heart create each new
piece. My sculptures tell a story, trying to communicate joy or
sadness through movement, balance between people, union of bodies.
I would like to be in touch with people’s life, expressing emotions
like fear or frustration, exaltation or pleasure. My art is a medium
to show life as I see it, rich and full of love. That is the life I
want to share with you”.
